TML Biff Barnes Highlight Reel - December 2010
=============================================

Carolina Completes Dream Season!

In what was a "Cinderella" TML World Series, Carl
Schreck's Carolina Crawfish
won their franchise's
first TML Championship, taking out Jeff Chapman's
Rocky Mountain Chinooks
in 5 games!

Both franchises were expansion franchises back
in 1993. It was only 2 years ago that the
Crawfish had lost 118 games!

Complete stats and linescores can be found on
the TML web page.
-------------------------------------------------

TML WORLD SERIES:

The Chinooks, behind C.C. Sabathia took a 1-0
series lead, winning G-1 by 5-3 score. The
turning point in the series may have been as
early as G-2, when the Crawfish rallied from a
4-0 deficit in the 7th, to tie the game and
send it to extra innings. They won it in the
bottom of the 12th, 5-4. The Crawfish took G-3
by a 7-1 score, behind John Lackey. The final
two games were 1-run Crawfish victories, both
decided in the 8th inning.

For Carolina, Joe Mauer (.368, 3 HR) and
Justin Upton (.350, 2 HR) came up big.
Mauer held the Chinooks to 1 SB. However,
the difference was the solid Crawfish
pitching (2.81 team ERA)! Rocky Mountain
hit only .208 as a team. Sabathia and Tim
Lincecum pitched great in each of their
two starts, but did not get much support.

Where was Brett Cecil?
